The monotony of waking up to get ready and go to work every day was\nthe norm. Waiting for the weekend so that we can finally rejuvenate was\nexciting. We cribbed about not having enough time to get things done and fought\nwith ourselves for that extra 5 minutes of sleep or made excuses to stay at\nhome. Those were simpler and happier times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Life is a little difficult during\nquarantine now. We wake up hoping to learn that someone has found a cure for\nthe pandemic. Wanting to go out again, go to work and back to our normal,\nmonotonous life. Praying that this will all get over soon so that we can meet\nour friends and spend some quality time in a place that\u2019s not our home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We shouldn\u2019t be thinking about all of\nthis. It\u2019s time to get up, get going and make good use of quarantine. Now, we\nknow it\u2019s easier said than done. So, here are some activities that may help\nkeep you sane during the quarantine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Change your mentality:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It\u2019s very easy to get anxious when\nthe only thing that\u2019s going on in our mind is that you\u2019re stuck. And once this\ntape starts playing in your head, you keep singing to its tunes, on loop, while\ngetting even more anxious. Start with the basic, reset what you want your mind\nto play. Instead of playing \u2018I\u2019m stuck\u2019, play \u2018I have so much time to take care\nof myself\u2019 in your mind throughout the quarantine. Self-indulgence and love are\nthe best ways to get out of it. Try something new, take care of your body and\nmind alike. Start a new routine, pick up better habits, let go of some of the\nbad habits, all of this while passing this quarantine phase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stick to your normal routine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong>If you\u2019re not working from\nhome, fill the gaps of the time you spend at work with some activities. Be\nproductive. Don\u2019t let the quarantine time get to you. Do something that will\ngive you a sense of achievement when you complete it. There are a lot of things\nthat can be worked on at home if you just focus on them. Cleaning, fixing,\nrearranging, organizing, cooking, washing and whatnot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Start a new habit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong>As we said, picking up better habits is the key to having a\npositive mentality during this quarantine period. So why not get used to\nsomething that will only benefit you in the long run? Start reading just before\nyou sleep. It will help keep your mind healthy and highly creative. Exercise as\nsoon as you wake up. Starting your day right will not only help you stay in\nshape but also keep your energy levels high throughout the day. If you\u2019re not\nused to cooking, start doing so every day. There\u2019s nothing more relaxing than\ncooking, especially when you\u2019re building up the anticipation of the tasty dish\nthat you\u2019re going to devour later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MOVE, MOVE, MOVE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong>Sitting or lying at the\nsame place for too long will not help you get through quarantine. Keep moving!\nGet things done. Even if you can\u2019t go out, just walk up and down the stairs.\nPlease do wear gloves and avoid touching anything if you plan to do this. Do\nanything you can for your mind to not get the opportunity to get anxious or\nfeel any kind of loneliness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Having mentioned these points, we\nwould also mention that It\u2019s okay if you don\u2019t want to be productive every day.\nIt\u2019s not a race for you to accomplish everything before this time runs out. You\ncan always sit back and catch a break. Watch a game, binge-watch a web series,\ncatch a movie, listen to some music. Self-healing is as important as any other\nactivity.\n\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; We will have to work our way through\nthis if we want to reach the other side of this quarantine. In these times, it\nis important to practice social distancing, but practice it with a strong mind\nand body. We hope that the curve gets flattened soon so that we can end the\nquarantine and go back to our normal lives. But in the meantime, we must keep\neach other safe and motivated as we\u2019re all in this together.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Life was good.
