  • Eligibility: An Eligible Participant or an Eligible Dependent must also be: (a) a resident of the U.S., (b) under Age 85 and (c) enrolled in a Primary Plan.
  • Coverage Length: A trip can be as short as 1 day or as long as 180 days. The minimum charge assessed is 7 days.
  • Renew: This is a non renewable plan.
  • Cancel: If you are not completely satisfied with our product, simply return your Certificate or Policy of Insurance and Description of Emergency Medical Evacuation and Other Services within 10 days of receipt and include a letter indicating your desire to cancel.
  • This plan is for coverage outside of the U.S. only. You may only purchase this policy prior to departing on your trip. Exceptions to this rule: if you are still on your trip and need to continue coverage past the initial 180 max, you are allowed a one time subsequent policy enrollment up to another 180 day limit

Exclusion

  • Any amounts in excess of maximum amounts of Covered Expenses stated in this Plan.
  •  Services not specifically listed in this Plan as Covered Services.
  • Expenses incurred in the Home Country.
  •  Services or supplies that are not Medically Necessary as defined by the Insurer.
  • Services or supplies that the Insurer considers to be Experimental or Investigative.
  • Expenses incurred for elective treatment or elective surgery.
  • Routine hearing tests or hearing aids.

Under the GeoBlue Voyager Essential plan, benefits are not available for any services received on or within 6 months after the Eligibility Date of an Insured Person, if those services are related to a Pre-existing Condition as defined in the Definitions section of the Plan Description. This exclusion does not apply to a Newborn that is enrolled within 31 days of birth or a newly adopted child that is enrolled within 31 days from either the date of placement of the child in the home, or the date of the final decree of adoption.

The pre-existing conditions exclusion under GeoBlue Voyager Essential does not apply to the Medical Evacuation benefit, Repatriation of Remains benefit, or the Bedside Visit benefit. GeoBlue Voyager Essential does not require that insureds have primary insurance at the time of enrollment.

Members can access these carefully selected providers and arrange for the bills to be sent directly to GeoBlue. Please note, a member is responsible for their deductible at time of service, if applicable.

GeoBlue Voyager plans are secondary insurance. However, GeoBlue will process and pay claims upfront as a primary payor and reserves the right, where applicable, to contact your primary insurance company to coordinate benefits.
