Exclusion

  • Illness that begins by occurrence of symptoms and/or receipt of treatment within the first two (2) days of coverage beginning with and including the certificate effective date, if coverage was purchased on the same day as the coverage effective date.
  • Birth defects and congenital illnesses. Birth defects are deemed to include hereditary conditions.
  • All sexually transmitted diseases and conditions
  • HIV, AIDS, or ARC, and all diseases caused by and/or related to HIV.
  • Sleep apnea or other sleep disorders.
  • Mental health disorders.
  • Dental treatment and treatment of the temporomandibular joint, except for emergency dental treatment necessary to replace natural teeth lost or damaged in an accident covered hereunder or for the emergency relief of acute onset of pain.

Nothing contained in this insurance restricts or interferes with your right to select the hospital, physician or other medical service provider of your choice. Nothing contained in this insurance restricts or interferes with the relationship between you and the hospital, physician or other providers with respect to treatment or care of any condition, nor your right to receive, at your own expense, services and/or supplies that are not covered under this insurance.

To comply with the United States Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) requirements, you must receive medical treatment from PPO providers while in the United States. If you receive treatment from a PPO provider, we will remit payment for eligible expenses directly to the provider.

Extend or Renew My Atlas Travel Insurance Coverage

Extension Fee: $5/Extension

After your initial purchase, you may extend your coverage (5 day minimum) up to a maximum of 364 days from the initial effective date. Provided there is no break in coverage, you will not be required to re-satisfy the Deductible, nor will benefit limits be reset.

If your travel does not include the United States and you are not a U.S. Citizen, you may extend your coverage up to a maximum of 365 days. After 365 days of continuous coverage you may renew your policy for two additional 365-day coverage periods. Deductible must be re-satisfied as of each renewal date. If a new application is required, then you must re-satisfy your Deductible and Pre-existing Condition provisions.

Extensions or renewals must be made online in the Client Zone with payment by credit card.

We hope you are happy with the cover this policy provides. However, if after reading it, this insurance does not meet with your requirements, please notify us of your wish to cancel and we will refund your premium

Premiums will be refunded in full if a cancellation request is received prior to the certificate effective date.

Premiums may be refunded after the certificate effective date subject to the following provisions:

a. A $25 cancellation fee will apply for administrative costs incurred by us; and

b. Only the prorated portion of the premium will be refunded; and

c. You cannot file any claims to be eligible for a premium refund.

This insurance policy has in it a Claims Procedure which tells you what steps you must take to file a claim, and explains our obligations to you. Beginning on the last day of your certificate period, you shall have 60 days to provide us proof of claim.
